I taught developmental psychology for twenty years at the college level. I was also a licensed psychotherapist. Mary Trump’s book, “Too Much and Never Enough” about her Uncle Donald Trump is a masterful story about how growing up develops personality. She is a clinical psychologist whose writing is clear to anyone. In addition, I would recommend reading Judith Viorst’s book, “Necessary Losses: The Loves, Illusions, Dependencies, and Impossible Expectations That all of Us Have to Give Up in Order to Grow”. Ms Trumps book should not be regarded as a political attack. It is about Trumps’ challenges of gowning up –which we all face. You will recognize some of your own challenges,.
